USK's founder Wayne Horodowich has just published a book entitled "Practicing Good Judgment." It is an Adventurer's Guide to Making Critical Decisions. Derek Hutchinson wrote the first book on sea kayaking in 1976. We are proud to have his 40th Anniversary Edition, which was updated and re-released in April 2018. This new 6th edition was updated by USK's founder Wayne Horodowich, a close friend of Derek's. See the full description by clicking on the product.

USK is also proud to host the unique artwork of Derek C. Hutchinson who was as a world renowned sea kayaker, kayak designer and a Senior Coach of the BCU. Derek was also an accomplished artist. He illustrated his own books and had an incredible collection of original prints and watercolors. Unfortunately I lost my good friend Derek to cancer Oct 10, 2012. Even though Derek is gone USK still has some of his "Limited Edition" prints in stock. All prints are titled, numbered and signed by the artist himself. 

I am sorry to say we cannot ship books outside of the US due to shipping costs given the weight of books. All book orders will be sent via media mail and only in the U.S. If you want a book shipped to another country please e-mail us study@useakayak.org in advance and we can calculate and discuss the shipping charges.
