Surf, Swells and Winds
Wind is one of the paddlers greatest concerns because of how it directly affects your craft when it is blowing on you. It also affects the water on which you paddle by creating waves. When paddling on open water one should know the size and direction of the swells and the local seas. If you plan to launch through surf it is wise to know what to expect.
