Traditional Style Kayaking
One of the reasons I have such a passion for kayaking is the history behind it. What we consider a sport was a way of life for native populations in the arctic regions for centuries. There is so much to write on the subject and I hope to get to it in the future. If there is a reader that would like to help develop this page and links please e-mail me at study@useakayak.org.
Since Greenland Style kayaking is technically referring to Greenland and the areas close by the word "Traditional" encompasses all of the original styles of kayaking. The Aleuts have techniques that are different from Greenland techniques so we will have this page as the jumping off point to any and all traditional kayaking styles.
