Tying knots is a necessity for paddlers. You usually remember the one's you use often. However, how often do you use all of the knots you have learned over the years? I was so excited when I saw these plastic waterproof cards named paddling knots because it meant I could keep the cards with me in my day bag or even in the pocket of my PFD when I am teaching knots to my classes.
There are six 3.5"x2.25" cards (about the size of a credit card) held together with a brass grommet that allow the cards to fan out to display the knot you want to review. These fifteen knots contain the ones most often used by paddlers: bowline, taughtline hitch, square knot, water knot, buntline hitch, clove hitch, rolling hitch, trucker's knot, constrictor knot, sheet bend, double sheet bend, double fishermans, mooring knot, figure eight and bowline on a bight.
